Upstream Explorers Summer Camp

Join us for one or more of our summer camp programs! These 4-day adventure-filled camps will have participants exploring different sites throughout our watershed. Participants will hike and explore some of our most beautiful areas along rivers and streams while engaging in hands-on field studies. These camps focus on nature and science with a good mix of art, fun, games, hiking, and water play!

All camps are four-day weeks from 8:30 – 3:30pm, Monday – Thursday. The cost is $300 for each four-day camp week, and some scholarships are available. Contact Kolleen at kmiller@restorethedeschutes.org for more information.

Interested in joining our program this summer as a Counselor-in-Training (CIT)? We are looking for students ages 12 and up to help support our Upstream Explorers camp! Please review our Counselor-in-Training Information to learn more about this program and how to apply or contact Colette Boylan at cboylan@restorethedeschutes.org for more details.

With the nature of our programs and wildfire smoke being a health concern for our younger campers, the Upstream Explorers camps will cancel our programming for the day if the AQI is above 150 for any outdoor location or 200 when at Skyliners Lodge. Our program uses Purple Air to track the AQI at each camp location. If poor air quality conditions arise, our program staff will be in touch with families by no later than 6:30 am by email to announce our cancellation for the day.
